YogaAndHunger!

Yay, I have my 2nd pre-natal Yoga class tonight with 2 of my pregnant friends. We started last week and it's so nice and relaxing! It's supposed to help with delivery and preparing your body for it. I hope it does!! I'm also listening to a meditation CD at night when I go to bed that has a lot of positive affirmations to help with delivery. And reading two books called Birthing from Within and The Thinking Women's Guide to a Better Birth. I'm very excited about all of it and looking forward to a wonderful labor/birth experience!
As for hunger...wow! I'm hungry ALL the time! I'll eat two servings of spaghetti and not feel like I had a single bite! It's ok though, I'm feeding my hungry baby boy! =) I'm snacking a lot too, but that helps keep me sane...haha. I just need to make sure I don't eat 5 million calories a day. I'm trying to eat as much fruit and veggies as I can, but these 100 calorie packs really don't help, they actually make it much easier to eat more often just not as healthy. Oh well, I do what I can ;).
Here's a pic of the newest nursery update:Sean's just gotta put the quarter rounds up and the closet back together, then we get to work on the details!! YAY! Love the wood floors!!!

UltrasoundVideo!!

I have it for you to watch!! It's the best video I've ever seen!!! I know you'll agree =). It's a little over 7 min long and there's no sound, but it's so amazing to watch. You'll see him kicking and kicking and stretching like he needs more room in there. You'll see my ultrasound tech point out that he's a boy in a few shots and where it pauses is where she's printing a still shot. You'll see his spine, ribs, hands, fingers, shoulder blade, diaphragm, skull, legs, just about everything!! He even rubs his knee at one point, it's soooo stinkin cute! My favorite part is the big stretch after she points out that he's a boy. She'll also zoom in on his heart to show the 4 chambers.
The best part of my pregnancy so far has been feeling him kick. At the point of this ultrasound, I hadn't yet felt him, at least I didn't think I had. And you can see him kicking away like crazy. Well, during our ER visit, I felt again what I had thought wasn't him and decided to check it out by placing my hand there and BAM, there it was! He was sure enough kicking me!!! That little stinker, but I wanted him to do it 5 million more times! Now, I'm feeling him when I lay down at night and when I squash him by leaning over at my desk ;). Sean has also felt him a few times, first time at the ER as well. That was the most amazing sight I had ever seen; Sean feeling it for the first time. My brain took a picture of that moment and I'll never forget it. He shouted (quietly), "I felt it!!" and then a moment later, "I felt it again!!" It was breath-taking! Anywho, I won't further delay the video...here it is (grab a tissue):

Nursery!

So, Sean's been working on the nursery and so far it looks AMAZING!! He's done a great job! He's adding the floors in tonight and tomorrow and then touchups will be done. YAY!! Here's some pics so far:

I'll add more pics when floor is done!
Oh, and here's the nursery set we're going with-- it's SOOOOO CUTE!!

Appendicitis?!?

Tuesday, the 2nd, Sean and I were at the hospital for a good 5 hours because they thought I might have appendicitis. And really there was no way for them to check (CT-Scan, MRI, X-ray) and I wasn't showing many of the signs for it, other then severe pain in my lower right side. So, they sent me home and told me to come back if I had the major symptoms like fever, vomiting, or loss of appetite. Or to come back in 12 hours if the pain was still there. Well, the pain is no longer there and I'm thankful that it wasn't something serious like that...I'm guessing it was a bowel problem (I know, TMI).
But we did get some new u/s pics!
And here's a pic of me at 21wks!

It's a BOY!!!!

We had our big ultrasound on the 21st and right away we saw that it's a boy. He was definitely not hiding it! We are so excited and can't wait to meet him. Here are some pics:Sean said this is the strongest arm the u/s tech has seen and definitely a throwing arm for when he plays football for Notre Dame. =)Getting ready to suck his thumb:Waving to mommy and daddy! We have 2 names that we're choosing from, however the name will remain a secret until the day he's born. We've picked out our bedding and it's just oh so cute!!! We'll be working on the nursery in the next couple weeks.
Next week, I'll be half way through the pregnancy. I can't believe it's gone this fast! Makes me happy though!
Here's some belly pics of me at 18wks:

Updates!!

Not much changes these days, besides my belly and me feeling better =) I don't have any nausea left and honestly forgot what it was like to have it, so that's great! Now I'm in the countdown mode to find out the sex on August 21st. That's in 10 days!!
Had a little scare on July 31st when I woke with some spotting. I was out of town on business, but at least it was in Ft. Myers where I was staying with friends.
Went to the ER since I wasn't near my doctor. Had some more spotting as soon as I got in the ER bed, lovely. The Dr. came in and mentioned doing a pelvic exam to check out the cervix and that later we'd do an u/s. He said if the pelvic exam showed the cervix open then we'd cancel the u/s cause there would be no point...which freaked me out, I didn't think about a cervix problem. I asked if it was still possible to have a heartbeat if the cervix was open (cause I had hear the heartbeat at home with the doppler), he said yes. I couldn't wait for the pelvic at that point. It came about 15 min later and it took him awhile to find mine (said it was extroverted) and then found the tip and said it was CLOSED!! Best words ever! Then the nurse came in and couldn't find the heartbeat (doppler), I asked if I could do it and I couldn't find it either, which concerned me. However, the u/s showed everything was awesome! Measuring 15w5d!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was amazing. I told him not to tell me the sex cause Sean wasn't there and he said then quit looking at the screen! Then I think I saw something quite obvious...I'm pretty sure it's a BOY!!!! =) Looked like "he" was saluting me! We find out for sure in 10 days!!! Then, we get to buy stuff, start decorating, making a registry list, etc!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe we're here and almost finding out the sex....time is flying!
This is the fortune I received that night at an Asian restaurant:I couldn't believe it when I saw it...almost started crying right there!
I've already received baby clothes from friends and family and it's so exciting. Here's my belly at 16wks. =)

BabyBeats!

It's been a little bit since I've posted so I gotta get caught up! I wasn't feel so good and being on the computer doesn't make it any better. However, we're now in week 13 and things are looking up!! So excited not to be feeling nauseous all the time. A few headaches and waves of nausea but it's better than feeling it all the time.
I celebrated my 28th birthday last week and I had much to celebrate that's for sure! I couldn't have asked for a better present then to be 12 weeks pregnant (and for my sister to call from Africa to wish me a happy birthday of course!).
We have our next appointment on the 24th and we can't wait! After that, we wait just 4 weeks to find out the sex of our baby!!! YAY!
I heard about this baby heart monitor that you can rent and listen to your baby's heartbeat at home. I HAD to have it, hehe. It's a heart doppler and it works great! As soon as I got home I tried it and found the baby's heartbeat and it was AMAZING!
**I'm trying to get the recording posted**
UPDATE: I found a site to host my recordings!!
